Capsule Geology

The LTSB079 showing area is dominated by a thick succession of intermediate to felsic volcanic rocks of the Lower Jurassic Telkwa Formation. Sedimentary rocks of the Lower Cretaceous Skeena Group occur as a minor constituent locally. A sample of dark grey siliceous siltstone with chalcocite yielded 0.1 per cent copper (Assessment Report 30454).
